Hike to Champa Devi (3hrs)
Champa Devi, situated at an altitude of 2,285m Southwest of Kathmandu, is a pilgrimage site having a Buddhist stupa and a Hindu shrine. Many pilgrims visit this place on full moon day. After an early Breakfast, we start our hiking gradually up for about half an hour towards the north ridge and through pine forested area. From here we continue hiking gradually up following the trail for about another 1.5 hours to Champa Devi. The views of central and western Himalayan Range are magnificent. Return back to the resort.
Walk to Pharping and Dakshinkali(3hrs)
Pharping and Dakshinkali are very holy places for Buddhist and Hindus alike. The trail takes you along local villages and Pharping monastery. Pick up at Pharping and drive to Dakshinkali Temple, a drive of about 15 minutes. The walks offer great views of the valley and mountains beyond. A bird lover’s paradise, you are never too far from an eagle stalk. The top of the hill is a sacred site, where locals gather, to offer prayers and sacrifices. The trail is very gentle, butterflies and birds keep you company as, you pass pine forested lands and colorful landscapes. Explore other cultural and religious sites around Pharping. Heritage Walk (4hrs)
Walk to Khokana (1.360m), a traditional and tiny Newari village eight kilometers south of Kathmandu, which has its own history and has retained its tradition and culture. It is a living museum and recalls medieval times. Khokana has been nominated to be listed as a UNESCO World Heritage, representing a vernacular village and its mustard-oil seed industrial heritage. Bungamati is the birth place of Rato Machhindranath, regarded as the patron of the valley.
